My buddy just got a stock '89 Blazer that seems pretty clean. We went to go four wheel my little playground and the thing would not go into four wheel drive! It has auto hubs, so is that the problem or is there a vacuum line somewhere that isn't working or what. It's got a 350/700R4/??? transfer case if that helps. Any ideas or info would be great
Thanks!

T-case is an NP241. Most likely it is one or both auto locking hubs causing the problem. Easy to diagnose if you lift the front off the ground and shift through the gears on the t-case while noting what turns and what doesn't. A set of Warn hubs is the first mod to make to one of those trucks.

probably the actuator in the front axle. very common. dealer sells an updated version of the part. somewhere around $50-75 if i remember correctly.
