I just picked up an oiled reciprocating twin-head air compressor and have no idea what I have. I'd like to know what I have so that I can order parts or at least go get some locally, and just to know what I have.

It has the FS-Elliot symbols on each head, on the housing, fill plug, etc. It has VA-65 cast into the housing and stamped on the ID tag. The ID tag also says US Falcon, as well as a serial number. I've already torn it down and partially reassembled it, but I cracked one of the piston rings and need new lead gaskets for the heads. The piston rings were not worn much at all, the cylinders had no wear/scouring signs, but there was crud built up in the heads around the valves from oil & particulate. Paint is immaculate and the

Any ideas as to how old this is and what output it is/what power motor it needs to go with it? I'm really interested in using the oilless Craftsman out at the ranch only, and this in the shop from now on... It is needless to say why.

Serial Number is A8031568

Edit...
Serial tag, didn't turn out as clearly as I wanted it to.

Just found out that FS Elliot is a subsidiary of Fu Sheng... Just guessing off of the Serial Number, I'd say its one of Fu Sheng's A-series compressors. Here is what they provide for info, no help to me:

It's a nothing special 1 HP compressor head made in china.... i highly doubt parts are available. Looks like new ones are about 250 bucks.... i would go buy a cheap harbor freight compressor head.

edit: it also is only rated for 4cfm's at 100 psi and 4.4 cfm's at 70 psi.

Will do. I'd need more CFM than this thing... The Craftsman is higher than that haha

This pump was taken off of an AC system on an office building, it was run inline w/ several other compressors. One of them is being used right now by my dad, so I'll let him keep this for parts. Or a boat anchor.
