I have a 120hp 2.5 153 ci chevy motor in an old Mercruiser boat. The boat is trashed and i'm not into boats anyway. The motor runs great and looks really clean. I searched but nothing came up. Would there be a kit to bolt this up or how hard would it be to do if theres not a kit?

Here is the same motor that I found on Ebay:

Why? Boat motors are usually built different than car engines. Different waterpump, water passages, sometimes the engines don't even exist in cars and there are no options for clutch and flywheel. Seriously, put a 1.6 in it, or since you seem to want to work your ass off, a 4.3. I have one for sale. Whole truck ready to swap.

I bet. But it wasn't a terribly easy swap was it. However, it would be far easier than a boat motor that no one makes any parts for.

yeah, use a car engine or just make a badass boat-thing.

Looks a lot like the GM/Pontiac 151 I have in my rig. I think that a later 2.5 out of an injected S10 would be a better choice. Either way, if its the same size as the 151, youre going to have the radiator out on the front bumper-

as far as swapping in different stuff, by the time that you end up hacking the old mounts off and putting new ones on, theyre all about as hard as anything else.
I really like my 4 cylinder, despite the fact that its tired, and somewhat gutless, it spins my 38s without issue.

Ya it is the common pontiac/GM 151 "the iron duke" as it is called. I have a jeep with the same motor in it but its locked up, so I was figuring on using all the externals I'd need off the jeep block. but if theres not a mount/adapter kit for the sami ill prob just use the boat block to get the jeep running. No one has a 1.6 that I need or the 2.5 anywhere near me. So I was hoping to get the sami going first but looks like the jeep may be easier as of now.

Sounds like it man. Simple engine swap over chop cut rebuild. Don't ruin the samurai cuz you got a boat anchor layin around. Put in something worth having in there.

keep in mind that motor probably was built for hp, not low end torque.
