Is the stock 1990 Samurai brake booster and pump enough to work with Toy pu axles (1988)?

How about with the rear disk break conversion?

I wouldn't bother unless you need it for mud. The Toy brakes will stop on a dime under a Zuk, on pavement I have to rememebr to pump the brakes and not put em to the floor

That is maintaining stock pump and booster?

It's adequate even with the rear disk conversion. It lacks serious pedal pressure, but mine is trail only so it's fine. I have recently learned of a swap in MC swap that is said to fix the problem. The trick is to get a MC out of an 80's Pontiac Firebird and then all you have to do is egg out one of the mounting holes with a file and bolt it on. But seriously, even with big ol' GM calipers on the back it's fine, just gotta remeber to pump it some times. And it really does stop on a dime:D

Would Swapping in a 80's Firebird MC make a difference on just stock axles???? Or only on the Toy axles??? Cause there cheep to get a 84-88 FireBird MC!

I would imagine that it would make some kind of difference, but not too big because the stock mc already works fine as is for stock brakes.

I run a stock booster on my 94' zuk with a set of Toy axles.

Totally stock. Try it, if you don't like it you can always upgrade. I was real impressed because mine stops great with my 35 x 13.50s and even my old 33 x 15.50 SX's which were heavier.

I used the stock stuff on my last Samurai that had Toy axles. I upgraded to a 1999 Chevy Tracker booster and MC when I put the motor in it and it made a difference, but not that much. It still worked great either way.
Like Azrckcrawler said, just try it, if you don't like it...upgrade.

My buddy suns toy axles and 35x16-15 Boggers under his Sami, with stock Master Cylinder. The thing stops on a dime. Another cool thing is if you currently run extended brakelines, the Zuki rears will work on the front with the Toy axles, leaving you only rears to buy again.
