Ok I know that the Dana 30 is not worth putting allot of cash into. I am looking for a way to run a high steer set up on this axle, I have search and don't see allot on this. I think you can run WJ knuckles? not sure. The tera flex knuckle is just allot of $$$$. Should I just deal with the steering the way is and not put anything into the Dana 30, Or am I wrong in thinking the D30 is junk. Should I just plan on swapping dana 30 in the future. The D30 is locked and I am running 35's (no plans on a bigger tire) I wheel a half dozen times a year, My sons are young, But when there older I see us going more often and would like to have a solid rig. The jeep is a 97 tj with 5.5 of lift, about 40/60 street/trail.

The Tera flex knuckle is a good way to go. the drag linc on the top and the tie rod on top of the lower arm.

This part bolts to the factory Dana 30 knuckle. You do have to switch over to rod ends rather than tre's. You will have to build a tie rod and drag link to work with the set up. On TJ's you will have to make a couple slight mods to the coil mounts. Basically cut a couple spots to make room for the steering linkage at full turn.

I think i remember seeing a BTF hi-steer bracket on a jeep a few weeks back. Looked like a good clean setup. Seems cheaper then the Tera kit too. Not to mention of the limited business ive done with them they seem to be good people.

Ive seen guys take the tie- rod and re-ream out the knuckle to accept it from the top side too.

I am doing the tierod flip on mine. I forget who the kit came from, but it's a couple of inserts that you weld into the knuckle after you drill the hole out to 3/4" so that it tapers in the opposite direction. It was like $30 for the inserts.

I'm already running a ZJ tierod, which bolts right on and is a heck of a lot stronger than the factory TJ tierod.

Thanks for all the info, This bracket is exactly what I am looking for. Does anyone have a picture of one of these installed? Does it still allow the use of the current drag link hole in the knuckle or does it add two new mounting hole for the tie rod and drag link? Hard to tell in photo.

you can also look into a right hand drive zj drag link. it's a pretty cheap option that you can order from you local jeep dealer. flip the drag link back to the left side and turn your tie rod over. you'll have to drill out the holes (5/8?) and re-insert some bushings. cheap and easy.

go buy some gm 1 ton ends and 1-1/2 dom tube and call it done. i would go out and spend money on knuckles for the 30. at least when you upgrade to a d44 you can take the linkage with you.

Heres the part # for ^^ seans set-up.

Carquest (moog):
1 x ES2027L GM drag link end
2 x ES2234R GM tie rod end
1 x ES2233L GM tie rod end

or the ES2233L from Napa is 269-2554 (dana i think)

You need to ream out the knuckles, pitman arm and drill/ream the es2233L as the hole is ment for a steering stabilizer.

1.25 0.219 dom would be the easiest but hard to find off cuts. .250 will work.

dom needs to be tapped 7/8-18. A left and a right thread for each end of TR and DL.

Not sure what other jobber stores you yanks have but the ends are from a 85 blazer

The track bar did you just cut down the oem one and add an adjustable end, and relocate the braket.
