I fill it till it runs out the fill plug(on level ground). It is blowing out the breather; it has never done it before!

What would make it do that, there is no more oil in it than usual? I am not driving any different.

Has my 60 contracted some kind of STD or the Flu? Somebody tell me the physics of diff oil, pressure, heat and all that good stuff.

Thanks

My kneejerk answer would be temperature going up.

Volume and pressure are inversely proportional, meaning with temp. constant, as one goes up the other goes down.

Temperature is directly proportional to pressure - as temp goes up, so does pressure.

But of the 3, volume seems to be constant in your case, and the symptoms seem to indicate pressure going up, which means temperature must be increasing.

I have the same problem with my 9in.

Did you use a different diff oil? Something that doesn't have the temp protection?

Do you have a ARB? If you do I would look at it as the culprit.

The vac disconnect 60 in the front of my Dodge will puke oil on a long trip if it is a hot day. <IMG SRC="smilies/usa.gif" border="0">

Try synthetic gear lube.

Also, might think about putting a longer breather tube on.

Sure everything's set up right?

Thanks... I am going to put a bigger breather hose.

It was leaking, so I was filling it with some spare gear oil... I am going to drain it and and put the good shit back in.
