A A is closed for the day and I want to take this thing around the block.Jeep 4.0 with GM bell housing and NV4500.I have the instructions on how the slave cylander is to be installed on the bell housing but I dont know how it is to be adjusted(Where in the range of motion on the arm it should start to push)It has some all thread that it uses as a shaft with a nut/jam nut combo on the end ,but what is the proper adjustment for it.Anyone know what I am talking about?

This thingy,

I would adjust it just like any other clutch. You need an air gap of roughly 1/8" between the release bearing and the pressure plate fingers (assuming you can see in the bell, if not, guestimate). Basically you are adjusting for free travel at the top of the pedal. 1" to 1 1/2" free pedal before anything happens. Try that and see if it works. On a 100% new set-up I would make sure when the pedal is on the floor it doesn't over-center or bottom out the clutch.

I have it set up to what feals right, but it makes noise while running with the tranny in nuetral and the clutch not engaged.Sounds as if the there is not enough pressure on the throw out bearing, like its rattling around in there.

What is break in time for these when they are new?It is also hard for me to tell because I have no floor ,just a huge tranny for a center console, but are they all this loud.It has a lot of gear noise, normal or not?
