I tried posting the after pics but it woulnt let me.

anyway, the paint goes:
1st coat: [rolled in, front interior only] Rustoleum Heavily Rusted Metal Primer

2-4th coats: [sprayed on] Rustoleum Clean Metal Primer

Just bringin' it back to the top to ask again... how should i protect the underside of the diamond plate from rust? i can primer it and paint it but that will chip away from rocks from the tires.... i know there was an undercoating discussed a long time ago before a server change so the thread is lost.... i THINK the name was wax-oil or something similar??

Thanks, Matt

Search for "anti rust" on Eastwood's web site (http://www.eastwoodco.com)

It is called putting a pound of paraffin wax in a gallon of diesel fuel in your pump sprayer and spraying the whole under side every year in the fall. This is what all my relatives in Minnesota use on their trucks and it works remarkably well.

Does the diesel brake down the paraffin? (Melt it?) or do you warm it up and shoot it?????? Sounds like a cool trick.

When I was painting some years ago, our NAPA store had a clear rubbery coating to spray on the lower body panels to protect from stone chips. Called something like stone guard?? Don't know how it would hold up to off road.
