Is it possible to connect a AMC V8 to one of these and run it without a computer? Is their a tailshaft conversion available for 2wd? Also I take it these have the 23 spline output shaft?

The only option we have is the 4x4 23 spline rear output.
We have no info on using an AMC V-8 in front of it. It will physically bolt up @ the bell housing.

you may want to check out www.awshifting.com They may be able to assist in clarifying how the controller works.

Brent or Brett from AW shifting says he has a manual controller. Now the question is will the 4 bolt torque flight or the 3 bolt turbo hydro flexplate bolt up to the torque converter.

I would look into the rail shifter.
Rory is a fellow vendor on the board and makes a sweet shifter. Bret from what I understand is out of the game. Rory has made a sweet shifter control
