How hard would it be to run a sidekick/tracker power steering box with a toyota pick-up pump. Will the threads be the same to work or what mods do i need to do.

just step all the way and use the toy box. the ifs box or the two wheel drive ones work well. they share the same bore size on the pitman end.and step up tho a tc type pump. the toy pump is ok but the tc type will be what you want later if you add a ram. look at www. lowrange.com or www. psc motor sports.com they will have the things you want. psc for your pump bracket and low range for the tc pump kit. the kit has every thing you need but the bracket. they have a nice ram kit for like $180. they will sell you the bit and tap to modify your steering box that you can pick up for $70+ or so. and you can get a 3/4' drop pit man arm from lowrange to run your toy box. they also have the ott steering kits for both the sami axles and the toy ones. think they have the kick box to the toy axle.

I had a kick box on mine with 35s and lockers, worked good. That is after I ditched the P.O.S. toy pump. I put a saginaw pump on it and it was light years better.

i had the kick box and hated it. but my tires are 15.50 wide. i'm steeping up to 37" now. the toy pump won't last long thats for sure but the box is like night and day from the kick box. the psc stuff is pricey the pump kit from lowrange for the toy truck is the best price on all the stuff you would need that i can find. $350 for your pump, res, cooler, hoses, all you need is the right brackets! and that is like $50 or so it's not bad really.
