: Wheeling in San Diego?
I'll be moving there in a week, it'd be nice to find some people to meet when I get there. All I know so far is about the Ca. Rock Crawlers Challenge (Rocktoberfest) going on east of Pasadena in the middle of October. Anything/anyone else I should know about?
you got to make it to JV on the 19th.

Some other time buddy, after this move I have about $-500 to my name. I plan to lay low for a month, check out the talent on the beach (and the Gaslamp), save up a little. Right now I'm living in Tucson and will come back in November for the RCAA event in Phoenix, hopefully.
3-4 hours to JV, eh? At least the people in Cali drive a helluvalot faster there than in Tucson.
Crowdog 07-28-2002, 10:16 PM Thought you San Diego guys might be able to help out on this:
San Diego County Board of Supes meets July 30 to adopt a resolution on Boxer's wilderness bill. It looks like they are going to SUPPORT Boxer's wilderness bill!!!
Action Items:

Thanks for your help.

Well it looks like my plans changed and i'll be goin up to the hammers after all. Todd when you headin up? Maybe we can meet up along the way. Speaking of the gaslamp, have you been down there before? You should check out the Gran Havana cigar factory at 5th and island. Really chill place to kick back, smoke hookah or cigars and drink coffee, if so inclined. Me and my friends are down there a lot on friday and saturday nights.

When and where? I tried calling the number and got no answer.
Edit: Never mind, I can't make it at 9 am. I'll send an email.
Ed A. Stevens 07-29-2002, 05:25 PM They report the Agenda item regarding Bill Horns resolution is being removed from the BOS Agenda for tomorrows 7/30 meeting (as of 4:50 PDT).
Greg Cox (unfortunately) is currently in support of Boxer's Act, and in opposition to Horn's resolution. They will fax you a copy of Horn's
resolution if you do not already have it (good reading).
It makes a difference to call, and simply request they oppose Senator Boxer's Wilderness Act, by supporting Supervisor Horn's resolution.
The delay provides recreation enthusiasts more time to educate the Supervisors the public opposition to this Wilderness Act.
A proactive letter supporting off-road recreation gets more acknowledgement than a phone call, a phone call carries more weight than an e-mail, and an e-mail gets more recognition than yelling at a carsonite sign after the trails close: what is your choice of action?
Happy Trails!
