Posted in the general forum but no ones bitin...

Alright, someone who is smarter than me settle this dispute.. do all ford, chevy and mopar V-8s spin the same direction or do some of them spin in diferent directions.. specificly .. the small blocks.. and furthermore how then can you swap a ford x-mission into a rig that has a chev motor in it .. (e.g. nv4500) or something similar.. wouldnt it be rotating the wrong way?

As far as I know, the Honda's are the only ones that rotate the other way. (Except for the s2000) I'd guess there might be some others out there though.

I'm no expert on this though. But since I can drop a T5 tranny behind Ford, Chevy, Mazda, Nissan, Jaguar, and a host of others, and all spin the right direction, I'd say it is a pretty safe bet. :p

I'll second that, the only current na available engines that spin backwards are hondas. At least that I know of.

... unless you pull a motor out of a boat that had twin inboards. one spins counter clockwise.... hm.... 1 fwd gear, 5 in reverse
