: Do the front tires wear faster than the rear tires?

I am asking and I do not know. Is it the front tires that wear out faster because the engine is heavy? The ones on the rear do not wear out as fast because of the lesser weight?

the fronts should wear faster since the skuff in the turns...add locker in the mix and who knows what happens. ;)

My rear tires wear out a lot faster than the fronts..............must be the spool. But with any locker, and probably open diff's the drive tires will wear out the fastest (rear).

My fronts wear out a lot faster, but it is becuase my alignment is off. It is as close as they can get it, but still off. I need to rotate em about every 1K miles(once a month or so).

In my truck - the fronts wear out much faster. I think it's a combo of things: most of the weight on a toy is up front, turning adds stress, and I have discs up front w/ drums in the rear so 75% of braking is done up front.

That doesn't matter...Even if you had discs in the back, the weight transfer puts most of the emphasis on the front.
