No.

Hilux, yes...Cruiser, No. You would have to use an itty-bitty driveshaft...

hey nolen he has a long wheelbase, one of these guys without the worry of the almost vertical and 5 inch long rear shaft ;) (exaggerated)

hey...you should have come out with us last weekend, we talked about exactly this.....

we have some ideas, quite a few spinning around about all sorts of things, form 6.1 R&Ps, through to 6:1 transfer cases and 6:1 gearboxes.....

some of which may or may not work depending on your setup......
we are going out for a "mellow" cruise this sunday if you want to tag along, get in touch

ph: 0418 887 423

or if you want to talk lower gears

Sorry could not get away, the wife and I found out she is pregnant with our first baby on Friday so had to do family stuff. Did you phone Brett (40 series airbags last week) he told me a guy called him who had a SPOA 40 who was doing the tuff truck, is that you?

I also got some gossip that there is a transport department guy who is attending runs and events in SEQ and taking peoples rego and next thing you know you get a nasty letter with a date to take your vehicle to an inspection station, this has happened to a couple of people I know so keep your eyes open

We have a few gear reduction ideas, looking at gearreduction hubs similar to Unimog, we should have the first set up and running very soon. Hardest design problem is heat disapation at speeds above 80km.

I think though running dual t/cases on a 75 series is going to be way easier to do, I was hopping somebody already had the adapter housing.

why would you want duall cruiser cases?? the amount of work to make it a double low,,,,,, not even worth talkin about.

keep it as Toyota as possible. As well we don't have all the NP205 and such t/cases in Australia that doubler adapters have already been built for.

use the reduction box from a mini, i too want to keep mine all toyota, but the offset of the cruiser case makes it near impossible, and certainly impractical to double up.

Are you talking about something like this?

http://www.marlincrawler.com/dual_toybox.html

I would be interested in hearing from anyone who is already running this setup.

i dont run one, theyre supposed to be avail now, and i can tell you all the guys i know who do run the mini doubler are quite happy with it. i would venture to say the mini part is stronger than the cruiser case as well.

AA also has a Roc box that is oly 5" long. It will probably be noisy because it will use straight cut gears. You already have the link to marlins offering. either way your driveshaft will be short if you are running the straight six.

My truck is a 75 series 4.2 turbo diesel cab-chassis with 112" wheelbase so rear driveshaft is not a problem.

hey..did you still want to swap pitman arms...if you go to coils?

also

kluneV
www.kluneV.com (i think)
are doing an adapter, but there adapter fits ther split case, marlin hasnt made one to fit tyhe plit case yet...which is the one you need....

OR...you could wait a few more weeks and there might be a local setup that will allow from 6:1 up to 9:1 on cruiser cases, even if you have the later chain drive type????

send me an email, and while i am at work i will remember to post you the links to klune V, marlin, AA, and marks, to show you whats available

also the 5.9:1 gearbox is a 5 speed from a coaster bus, i have heard, and bolts right in

the 6:1 diffs are from a 4x4 stout, but are salisbury loaded, but i think a R&P conversion is doable......... cause cockayne ran them in banjo diffs at last years TTC

BJ all the Stout's i have worked on have had the same centre as a cruiser not salisbury style and they only came in 2WD not 4x4 i beleive and also they run a course spline pinion.

they only problem with klune is the price, i mean the "other" doublers will be near $3000 aus for you guys, but the klune will end up over $5000 aus. unless someone can import them at an austrailian price, at which point i'll buy one from you and you can ship it back here for me.;)

sounds like an ozzie version of the atlas for offset cruisers.
for a 200:1 crawl with stock tranny and diff, you would be looking at 10:1 for transfer case gears, holy sheet!!! i hope its a 3 speed transfer case, maybe 1:1 high to 5:1 med. to 10:1 low.

to get over 200 you need to have the reduction gears already but you can still get 170 or 180, without them

it allows, high range 1:1, normal low range, 1.963, 2.28 (or whatever the standard is) or 3.144, 3.05, or 2.8, (available gear reductions), and 6.16 i think roughly in the underdriver style thing

this underdriver thing works like a fairey overdriver, and bolts onto the top side of your transfer in a direct line behind the transfer case.....???? i think
