I am trying to get my fiancee into shooting and she likes the pistol grip stocks better as they are more comfortable for her and also I would like to put on a collapsing stock to adjust the length. I can't do it with my current one as I got it in 98 or 99. Danm NYS AWB:rolleyes:
Does anyone have a lead on where I might be able to get one or anyone who would like to trade a pre-ban for a post-ban?

It mirrors the old Fed AWB. Any semi-auto that accepts detachable mag. :(

NY is pretty lame..
might want to look for an older ARMSCOR (same as squires-bingham) with 15rd mag.. the M1600 have a plastic pistol grip for the tactilol (actually it works nice) but the stock is stupid

Can the gun come from out of state?
If so offer to buy someone in a free state a new one if they will transfer their old one to you. I think everyone but me has a 10/22...

Hell it would almost be as simple to swap receivers.

Yes I can get one from out of state. It just has to be made before the cut off date. I would like to trade my post ban, if I could, for the pre-ban. Of course I would pay for shipping both rifles and the transfer fee too but I will keep looking. I'm sure one will turn up at some point.

Does NY decide strictly by s/n? Is there any other identifying feature they go by? An exact cutoff # would be helpful.

$500 for a 10/22 is a bit retarded. I'm not going to get ass raped just because it's "pre-ban" especially when I would not use the stock and maybe not the barrel either. I paid $200 more for a pre-ban AR a few months ago. I'm sure there are just as many pre-bans as post bans. I've seen them for $180 with low serial numbers in the past years when I was not really looking for one.

Yes NY does go by s/n but I don't have an exact cutoff. I don't think I would go higher than 236-75045 just to be on the safe side unless I can get something from Ruger stating what the cutoff was.

The stock does not matter. The only thing that counts is the receiver.
