the 460 club wasn't good enough for me, i joined teh V10 club, fawking thig get's 11 towing or not @ 70mph, and doesn't seem to have a power loss with the trailer back there either!!!

I'm soooo close to havin my fawkin 460 powered tow rig done <IMG SRC="smilies/rolleyes.gif" border="0"> I have about 3 grand in it total. It'll be a smog exempt fire breathin tow rig. I decided to build it, rather than get a 40k truck and have 1k a month payments.

i just got my tow truck, 87 f-250 deisel. its a 4 sp. not fast by all means, but it has 36,000 miles on it, and i have receipts from like 92 saying its only got like 20k on it then. i got the sucker for 4,200. the truck is cherry. and gets about 15-20 mpg depending.

i gotta get rid of the utility bed on my truck in favor of somthing lighter... it makes the 460 not feel like a 460.

no way. no matter what drive train up put in it it will still have a weak frame and wont wiegh enough for me to be comfortable anyways! jiMMy

Jimmy what if a person was to put the cab and box on a modified full size frame? Or is it too narrow? I think an FJ45 cab built into an extended cab and mated to a 90s powerstroke f350 std. cab frame would be bad ass and then just run some 38-16-16.5s and a hi-lux early short box on it. That is just a dream. I wheel a Jeep so I dont have anything cool to tow with like that. I had a nice Willys wagon I was gonna tow with but I bought the f350 instead.

i guess if you have the time and money. id rather tow in something nice than stare at a cruiser dash all day or night, plus it would probably be loud as hell. as for the looker factor im sure it woul drank high! jiMMy

I've seen an FJ40 towing an FJ40 on a trailer at Farmington this year (I think he was there last year as well). The tow rig was pretty built up as well. I thought it was kinda crazy, but to each his own I suppose.
