Where do you get your powder from? I am looking for some of the silver and black hammered powder, also what kind of gun do you prefer.

I get mine from eastwood too... and as for the gun I'm just using a harbor freight one that I modified a bit.

Eastwood is great, I buy all kinds of junk from them, their chassis rust encapsulator paint is killer, their powdercoating supplies are also pretty great, though I haven't used them much, I get all my coating done for free at a pro shop.

Eastwood does have nice stuff. Alot of small job shops start that way. We had their "pro gun" and after 10 years, somethig shorted out.........or something!

As for powders, look around. Theres a place in Tennesee that has alot of custom colors (think '90s mini truck colors) along with normal colors. Its called Columbia Coatings.

Now we have and have had (for 8 years) a Wagner Box Feeder, but unless you are going to use it daily, you dont need something like this! Plus the price tag is scary.

As everyone else has said... Eastwood. But, depending on how much you need to do you may be able to get the material pretty cheap from a local company that does powdercoating - look around.

I have bought at least 50 lbs from them.
Good selection and better prices than eastwood.

summit racing has about 60 different colors:

Not sure how much the eastwood stuff costs, but the summit stuff is around $15-17 for 1lb (~$60-70/ 5 lbs)

I have done dozens of parts using Eastwood powder. Great stuff. And yes their Rust inhibiter paint is awesome.
