I want an EBR, but I live in Los Angeles...

Are AR-15's legal in CA? I see them at the range quite often so there must be some sort of loophole or something.

How do people in CA get an Evil Black Rifle?

Thanks!

yes but they need a few mods made to them to be legal there such as no pistol grip, fixed magazine and I think fixed stock

And to be clear, if you have a pistol grip then you need a fixed magazine. Fixed means removable with a tool. Thats where bullet buttons come in.
If you use a magaman grip to eliminate the PG then no need for the fixed mag.

Bullet Button comment by DOJ: http://ag.ca.gov/firearms/regs/fsor.pdf page 10 in the file (says page 2) bottom of page.

I know of at least 4 FFL's somewhat near you that will do it. Ade's in Orange, J&J Armory (Santa Ana I think), Ammo Bros in Cerritos, and a guy ho runs one out of his house in Lake Elsinor. Pm me if you need more info.

Went to J&J. Paid for the Spikes stripped lower & the magic button for CA. :grinpimp: The Guys at J&J were very cool. They laid out 5-6 different lowers from different manufactures, some with different coatings. I was able to look at them all side by side and try and find the difference in price. I wasn’t able to. I was able hand pick the lower I got from 7-8 of the same. Now for the 10 day wait. :( I understand the concept but waiting 10 days to pick up a piece of shaped metal seems stupid. :shaking:

So, Bullywagon, does that answer your question?

Bringing this back up, can any of you guys recommend an FFL in Northern California that sells, or will transfer from out of state. Looking to pick up a lower reciever too.
