RCKRATZ 09-24-2001, 03:03 PM Is it worth the extra $300 to upgrade to alloy axles? This last weekend I broke a u-joint and it took the ears off the inner shaft with it. Does anybody know if the alloys are holding up when a u-joint breaks or does it shear the ears off the shaft? The Rockslut 09-24-2001, 03:12 PM Usually the alloy's CAN live through a joint or two breaking before the ears are gone. You have to stop immediatley when the joint goes though.
