ok, im just researching for a project down the way. my buddy is thinking of retiring his full size and going with his pathfinder instead. his current truck is a 78 stepside with 1 tons, doubler, etc. we are thinking of using a divorced t-case behind the stock pathy one to keep his pass drop d60 front. i am tyring to think of cases that are light, and have a decent ratio (somewhere between 2.5 and 3:1) and can stand up to the 3.0. any suggestions?

the nissan pickups form 80 to 86 had the devorced tcas. they aren pass drop but are center you you might be able to work with it. Very small like 65 lbs are less. the low range is like 2 to one. I have a 400sbc in my 81 with an sas and ant had a problem yet. by the way they are all gear driven.
