: Shorter steering arm after moving the front end forward?

OK to start I have an 86 GMC Suburban with the 10 bolt (8 lug) front. I installed a set of 6 inch lift springs and a zero rate to move the axle forward 1 inch. Since I move the axle forward my steering arms (from the steering box to the pitman arm) are way too long. I know I could cut them down to fit but I need to replace them anyway and figured there might be a shorter arm that works without cutting? Any help would be great. I eventually plan on going full hdro steer when I swap to a dana 60 or rocks (depends on the wallet). I can get some pics tonight if needed.

Cut it down and use a small file to clean the threads up. Your really only need to cut one.

I did this on my Blazer before and I had to cut both ends and grind a bit past the threads to fit. I was hoping there was something else to be done?
