This thread is a poll comprised of names submitted in the thread started by Lance (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=700983) in the order by which they have been mentioned. This poll is open for 7 days from today and the results will be forwarded to Lance. Only about 1K local wheeling members. Its a phpBB, I help moderate new members, spam, I have added new forums like our trails section, and wrote afew tech articles.

Ive been a Hard core Cherokee guy for only about 5 years, I check pirate usually 3 times a day.

Id be willing to help out. It would be nice to have more then one mod for this fourm.

If I ran for Mod the first thing Id want to change is the name to
Jeep Cherokee - Hardcore tech

Next nobody here cares if Rubicon express is better then Rusty's or how much lift to fit.. This should be Pirate Cherokee, Cherokees for Extreme rock crawling. The less Cherokee you have the more cool Cherokee factor you have. That seams to work for me, and Im not very cool. :flipoff2:

We also need some good stickie Tech threads specific to cherokee.

The picture post should be sticky too. It would help eliminate posts just to look in and search. Then any fool who make a seperate post can just be deleted.

So I would picture it as one stickey for the TOTW, TITS Tech In The Sticky? It would be locked and an Index only, it would have links to all the TOTWs which would float around to any page.

honestly the first thing any MOD should do is make a XJ build thread..

other forums have this IE: toyota, shop, etc..

it makes it very easy for new people to check out builds, get ideas, etc..

then they can start the TOTM, cleaning up the bullshit threads, etc..
and if possible to get HARDCORE XJ forum we could clean up all the newbie stuff and put it into the Newbie forum.

Easily done, however, remember, this isn't just an XJ forum. It also covers ZJ's, WJ's, and other unibody Jeep associated with "Cherokee".

What would be nice is thread that is an index with links to the rig building treads. Ashman of course, vetteboy79, 53guy and any more deamed worthy by the moderators.

As for a TOTM, I thing a defferent idea. Make one thread as an Index Official Tech Topics Index threads. Since many people have already done many different things about 10-15 posts could be picked and made to start out with. The links to them would be in the index and the posts would float just like the rig build posts would. It would be a great plan I believe, but proper moderation would be very important.

The topics could be picked from a list of many choices posted with a poll.

Ideas could be JeepSpeed, custom rear 4-links, frame plating, building a rollcage, coilovers and such.

Any good TOTM threads from other forums could also be linked or copied to that post.


The picture post(bad ass XJ's...........I need some inspiration) should be made sticky, renamed to include WJ's, ZJ's, MJ's. (Bad Ass Unibody pictures...........I need some inspiration)

Wish I could have, but we flew in to Lewisburg yesterday, spent the night and flew back out this afternoon. Can't fit my Jeep into the helicopter.
