Hey there guys & gals,
Thought I would share a simple bolt on install I did last week. I have been looking for a hood vent that I could ad to my factory hood. PSC has had theirs on their website for like 2yrs & I really liked it... Problem is production kept getting pushed out. There are a handfull of others I kind of liked, but didnt.. If that makes any sense.. I wanted the louvers to look like they belonged & did not just get bolted on. So here is what I found @ 4x4rockshop from Aluminum Customs.
It comes in bare aluminum with the arrow cut outs, which it also has the arrow inserts to fill in if you choose. Here is mine with som 5min epoxy holding the arrows in place waiting to be sanded.

The hood has been removed, the templete is in place ready for about 18 pilot holes to be drilled.

The molestation is complete, that perfectly good sheet metal has been removed.

After painting the louver & the bare metal after trimming out the hood, & letting the paint dry.. It was time for about 32 more holes for the hardware to hold the louver to the hood. Here is the top side.

I live in the high desert & like to slow crawl over the rocks... Never had over heating issues, but it sure does get hot in the engine compartment. This should help let some of that heat out & prolong the life of that I-6.
