how do i tell if my 90 bronco 8.8 rearend has 28 or 31 spline axles without taking anything apart?

You realy cant tell exactly w/o ripping it apart and checking. But figure the year, and model. The standard count for the bronco is 28. Eddie bower might have 31.

Now i'm not sure what you have 28 or 31 but i will say Eddie bower ain't gonna make no differance that's a trim package

You're full of crap. Whether or not your seats have a brand name stitched into them makes NO difference as to what hardware is under the truck.

All FS Broncos had 31 spline rears, whether it was a 9" or 8.8.


My '90 has 35 spline, but it's special. :flipoff2:

'90 Bronco + 8.8 = 31 splines

'86 Bronco 9" w/ 28 spline open diff.

WTF? Sounds like a swapped F100 axle (did they still make those in 86??)

And dammit Rade, quit bringing up old threads. :rolleyes:

F100 died in '81 or '82, though for the life of me I don't see the point in a truck "lighter-duty" than an F-150. Might as well have a Ford Courier :(
