Wondering if the foot dimmer fits as a replacement and the ignition switch. Not that I can't ream the holes out etc..
I figure the el cheapo harness is the EZ at $185, but then I need a new ignition switch and dimmer so $230 or so.
The centech is $335 with the dimmer and ignition so more money but a nicer unit and with most of what I need.
Time to wire..

I am. However, I can't be of much help.
I got the 14, 16, or 18 fuse (can't remember which) for a Chevy column.
It was just plug & play for the blinkers & ignition.
Hi-beam button switch is mounted in the same spot with the wires running inside & up under the dash...
Awesome kit though...

so you got the "GV" series with the plastic block. They don't have any more of those :(
I dig the new fancy one, but it is more $$$$
I still might go that route. Gotta wait till payday and hope that I don't get minimum wage this month ;)

I used the "Rebel Wire" kit on my travelall, it was a 9+3. Nothing is plug and play, but it is easy to figure out the switches from diagrams on Binder Blues or Binder Bulletin. Paid like $145 for it delivered.
It is marked every few inches and pretty easy to figure ou if you have any wiring knowledge. I had little and I did it fairly easily.

tell them to give you the H.A.M.B. (hokie ass message board) discount if you order from them.
Rewire it the way you like and use off the shelf stuff that is easy/cheap to replace. Damn IH stuff is so overpriced.

I just looked at my manual... I guess I only got the 10 fuse set up...

Brandon,
There's an EB at the local yard I go to.
It was in a bad wreck (grill is now 2 feet wide, both rear quarters as well).
It was fairly stock, but has an old Centech fuse block installed.
It was mounted in the dash, so the driver can check them.
IIRC they'll want about $20 for it.... there was 2-4 feet of wires attached.

Brandon, I haven't tackled rewiring mine yet, it runs so I don't want to screw that up. I've been looking around, and some guys over on Just IH used the kit from 4wheelin'junky on ebay. That guys that have installed them sy they are good. He seems to have very good prices and seems like you could mix and match what you need, he has Scout 80 specific harnesses and universal hotrod kits, too.

Yes, I have a GV? in my Creamsicle (http://www.justih.org/Binder-Bench/showthread.php?t=3258) Scout, which I finished in 2005. I probably bought the harness in 2003, and at the time I thought the directions could have been a little more helpful. In reality, they did give a lot of directions for each section of the harness, but they didn't give any "helpful sequence," which at the time would have helped me. I cannot comment on their current stuff, since I haven't used any of it.

I ponied up and bought the K40, comes with ignition, dimmer, etc.
I like that the wires are connected with those threaded dealios so I can remove whatever stuff I am not using now.
It wasn't cheap though!
