OK...

The axles are in the freezer!

and tomorrow, I'll heat the rings to 400 degrees!!

anyone heard of this install??

heard they'll practically drop on there...maybe might need a few hits with a mallet?

I have a press...but no dies that would ever fit the birfield joint.

These are stock birfields and North Coast Rings (forget who makes these?)

Tips??
Does the above work??

I think your over thinkin it here....

if you got a press, you should have some scrap steel or somthing. I think I used a cheep piece of muffler tube and some scrap steel at the bottom to hit on the rings as i pressed. THey went on real easy, easier than bearings and stuff...

fwiw... i went to the parts store when i got my press and bought a bunch of misc. sizes of miffler pipe with various id/od ends ~10" long, and use em all the time... (not for everything)
