HIGH 5 and I just got back from Katemy ROCKS off-road park today. This place has some SERIOUS potential.

It is 800 acres of granite for $25 a day. The trails are not super hard, but they lead you to 50-150 acre play areas that are solid granite climbs and cracks.

This place is for all types of four wheelers as you can pretty much pick what you wheel.

We ran into another PBB lister, Matt Hodges (thelakerat) was fixing a D44 Stub shaft when I saw him the first time :(

His crew from San Angelo was there. That crazy dude that was alternate for TTC made a wicked climb after HIGH 5 did and got his 14 bolt hung at the top and tried to extract himself with the stupid pedal and broke all sorts of crap.

Overall the place is worth a visit. Moab like traction and an anything-goes attitude by the owners makes for a fun fun place.

Cool pics. Seems noone got any of me, and i was stupid and left the camera at home. I did feel pretty bad though, it seems that i was fixing that stub shaft when i met everybody.
it was good to meet you guys though, the LSLC guys seemed that a good group of guys.

I have attended 2 RCAA's and 2 Pro Rock events and I tell you, it would make a FINE place for an event.

There is some NASTY stuff there, and plenty of it.

I've e-mailed Katemcy Rocks, but would like to phone someone there, Does anyone have a number for the park. I looked on their site and could not find one.
