I am trying to take apart this Waggy D44 front that I bought. I take the locking hub ends off (Warn hubs) and the spring and an engaging hub part comes out. Then I take off the snap ring that goes aroung the stub shaft. At this point there is one more piece of the hub that I cannot slide off of the stub shaft.

What am I missing here? Why won't this last piece of the lockig hub slide off? <IMG SRC="smilies/mad.gif" border="0"> What should I do?

thanks,

Did you remove the outer lockring? It is about the same diameter as the wheel hub where the locking hub goes in. You need to remove it with a pick or small screwdriver. After that the hub body should slide right out. Clean some grease out of the wheel hub if you don't see it.

you'll need a small hook tool / pick to get that other ring out.

Take the outer ring off like everyone said, install 2 of the long allen head bolts back into the hub. Just enough to where the threads hold and use those to pull the hub out.

There should be that lockring or hubnut or however you like to call it. It's round and has like 4 little notches in it. Most people buy a tool for it for like $12 but others make it. You pull off the outer hubnut, then you pull out a little washer thing that has a ton of little tiny holes in it. It's a PITA. After that you have another one of those hubnuts. Pull it and then everything should just come off easy from there. I had to use airtools to get that outer hubnut off on my pick n pull 44.
