I have the 4.3L with a Holley Truck Avenger carb mounted to it.

Would anyone recommend or NOT recommed taking off the electric choke?

What are the advantaged/disadvantages?

If it works and it is adjusted properly than why unhook it, i left mine on for easier starts in the winter months and cold mornings throughout the year.

the 4.3 will never pull enough air to see the choke as a restriction when partially open. leave it on, get it adjusted right.
