I need a electric mirror (passenger side) for a fj-62, cause I rolled it, anyone got one? Mine is still attached and still moves, but the glass/mirror part is cracked, lol, god these things are tough, and a right front door if anyone has one.

Mitch:

Those 62 elec mirrors are as rare as hens teeth! If its just the glass thats broken, what about getting a glass shop to cut you a new mirror?? Alternatively, CCoT sells a "look-alike" 62 mirror (not powered) and take the glass out of that. HTH, Andy

yeah, autozone sells those stick-on mirrors that you can put on if just your glass is cracked. you might find one that closely resembles it!

Where'd you roll your 62?

(Onto it's side, I know...)

If I had a digital camera i'd show you guys, its not that great though. Nothing cool like a trail roll, mine was on a dirt road, 20 mph, cut to far on an inside turn and hit some bumps, brakes locked up, slid sideways, and my right front tire slipped into the ditch and she flipped on her passenger side. We were both wearing our seatbelts so we were fine, all the cruiser took was a cracked mirror, and a big dent in the passenger door, we had the windows down so its cool, and the side of the bumper got bent up. After this I really appreciate driving a sherman tank in disguise. Flipped it back over and she started right up, tranny needed 3 quarts of fluid and the engine needed 3, cause some leaked out of the intake manifold into the cleaner.

Ouch. Glad you're ok.

Well, I guess your 62 is ready to bounce around off the rocks at Tellico now.

Glad you're ok.

Got to love it though when someone says, hey, I rolled - got an extra mirror.:D

Gots to love the cruiser.

Yep, I fixed it, all I did was go down to autozone and pic up some of that crap reflective sheet stuff, cut it, and slapped it on there in place of my glass but you cant see shit so I think I need to put it on a piece of metal to make it flat, although its not the best stuff anyways.

You should call Speedy here in town, they might have a mirror. Also I've had good luck with Johnson Auto Recycling at exit 2 on 26. They're higher tech than Speedy, and can access a network of parts for delivery in 2 days. There's been a 62 being parted out on e-Bay recently as well. I can ask the 3FE list if anyone has one too.

Or take it to a glass shop.

Never heard of the 3F-E list before. I already tried johnsons and speedy's but they didnt have any, johnsons could get me one for 50 bucks but since I only need the glass thats all i'll get. The autozone thing is a pos, so i'll just drop the mirror off at a glass shop. I got mad dog dents to bang out the top of the door so I can roll up my window all the way, problem is they ripped out that waterproof plastic barrier on the inside, how do I fix that, oh ya and that trim piece on the outside of the door at the bottom of the window, how bout that? The rocker panel is also kinda fucked up, but ill worry bout that later, an if I decide to use it for some more serious off-roading i'll just replace the rockerpanel with some angle iron.

Anyone know how to replace that waterproof plastic on the inside of the door?
