I have a holster that is black and I want to strip and tan it (make it brown :laughing: ) is this possible or will it cost me more than the holster is worth? (~$60)

I'm googling, but not sure I'm looking under the proper terms-- is it called stripping or something else? not finding much info or chemical wise.

I had a holster maker strip/dye a brown knife sheath black, only cost me $6. Not sure if you can go the other way easily...
