My hat is off to Mike Cole. He goes by "snobrder" on this board and competes in the legends class.

He only ran one obstacles the first day before mechanical issues forced him to take 40 & 50 points for no shows the rest of the day (5 obstacles totaling 240 points). He fixed everything up late Saturday with help diagnosing the problem from everybody at the Best Western;) .

He came back Sunday, completed all 6 obstacles, and only 58 points for the second day.

Needless to say he was driving very well and his spotter Jeff worked his ass off. By the way this stellar performance was all done with a simple SOA YJ w/D44s and 33" BFGs. It truly was an awesome feat. No winching the second day and a points total I believe most legends guys would have been proud of. Just too bad you couldn't get through everything on day one. I look forward to hearing your account of your first event snobrder.

The Pirate BB members were ripping it up. Unfortunately for our team that meant ripping up a 9" R&P on only our second obstacle. Rkcrawl can drive and will be a good competitor in Sept. He did get only 3 points on his first/only obstacle before the break and that was as good as any other legends score. Sorry we couldn't keep it together Jim :(

I have no idea what happened after 9:30... I have been told Ken had to pick me up at the restaurant. I have been told I had A REAL GOOD TIME, although I can't remember a fawking thing. I can hardly wait to do it again!

Were you the fool in the Best Western parking lot????

The one with the huge Tatoos????

The idiot who was wasted and screaming all night????

The one that was getting on EVERYONES nerves????

The one who handles his liquor like a 12 year old girl????

The one who gives us all a bad name through his childish behavior????

If that is you then please Don't do it again

It's one thing to get drunk and loud in a bar where everyones acting the same. But it's another thing to do it in a hotel parking lot where everyone is just relaxing and enjoying themselves. I've seen people get wasted for the first time in their life and not make as big of an ass out of themselves as you did:rolleyes:

If your not the fool with the tatoos then I offer my humblest apologies for this off topic rant. But the guy was a moron.

I'll third that!

Oh, and I'll remember next time I'm sitting in a parking lot in Jellico at midnight, the proper way to impress girls is to smoke the tires while power braking your rig.

:rant on:
Give me a break, I was 16 once too, but that was just assinine. It's actions like that that DISCOURAGE the town of Jellico from inviting us back! Yea, they like the business, but they're not going to like it if everytime we 'all' show up (and yes, one bad apple can spoil the whole buncdh), a couple of dumbasses are around acting like assholes. In my view, it's no different than going to the con and throwing beercans all over the trail and leaving them there. :rant off:

The next time you guys have a situation like that - please call my cell phone or come get me at my hotel room. I can have several officers there in no time and that person won't see daylight for a couple of days.

That type of behavior will not be tolerated.

The thing is that most of the time if people start to get like that their friends will A) Remove them, B) Cut them off, or C) Make sure they STFU.

Guess nobody wanted to claim this guy as a friend. Wonder why???

I'm sure the person in his cell would claim him......

I have no idea what I did. From what I have been told, I was a real jackass. If I could remember what I did, I would personally apologize to everyone individually. I woke up in my room late sunday afternoon, I do not remember anything after 9:30 the night before. So if I offended anyone I AM SORRY. I wll be back, and it will not happen again.

I remember when I had my first beer too. :flipoff2:

J/K, glad you had fun, fortunately PinkDude was in a fairly decent mood, or you would have gotten up Sunday afternoon with a fist print on your nose. :D

BTW, I like your new Screen Name, laughed my ass off when I read it. :D

I think I have shown that I should not go to an event without my trail truck, I get in too much trouble as a spectator.

He kept telling people to kick his ass if he pissed them off  I just wanted him to come up behind me and try the head lock like everybody else kept getting. I'm good at shoulder throws and I think that would've calmed him down

I too about fell out of my chair when I saw the login  Also read some posts and it seems like you have or are bulding a neat buggy. Why didn't you run this event?

Why didn't I run the event. My single seater is on the Jason Paule waiting list, I sold the jeep to George (who was giving it hell this weekend), the sami I am building, was finished, but all .95x1.5 tube, so I ordered more tube last week. I have been busy with work, and life. My rockcrawling year has sucked, no matter what I have done this year with the trucks it has been the WRONG thing. My life outside of rockcrawling has been OUTSTANDING.

The show was cool, a little slower than the last one,
but awesome to say the least.
I did see a lot of spectators tripping over all the little stumps that was cut 6 to 8" above the ground.
Just wondering what was up with the hi cropping of them?

Boy, was that a great time. Even with the problem on Saturday we had a ton of fun. Sunday we just went out to have a good time and attack the course. We never thought we would take 3rd, but it was a nice surprise. I have to say Jeff did a great job as a spotter. Jeff and I have never been riding together, and the Jeep was finished Friday night, so it was untested. This comp was the shake-down run, which it passed. :D

I still believe that the Legends class is the future of this sport and not just because you can get in the comp cheap, but because the competitors cheer each other on the whole time.

Congratulations to the First and Second place guys, and better luck next time to the guys that couldn’t finish.

You're right

But it doesn't hurt when you can spend ~$3K total (including purchasing a vehicle) and take 3rd ;)

We will speed it up next time for sure.

I thought we got rid of all of those stumps in the spectator areas. Where did you see a lot of them? Were they near any obstacle in particular? I will be there again this weekend and I can clean them up if you point me in the right direction.
