Hello everyone, about two months ago I traded some old jeep parts for my first Samurai (86). Its very ran down, burns oil, & bad clutch. I don't even have doors or a top. traded anyway fearing fixing the clutch. I never dropped a tranny before. so it sat in my driveway until today in all its multi colored glory ( i said it was bad :). but after alot of off & on research, in this site & others. I finally drop the tranny for the first time :). I was pretty confident about it after what I had learned & a step trough printout from autozone. well I took me a total of 4 & half hours from start to finish. everything went as planned & smooth. no problems besides crushing my fingers between the tranny & crossmember :( but after I got her all back together shes back & very happy. but anyways I wanted to say thanks to everyone for your help. I was very worried & put it off for to long. but with everyone's help I got it done in one shot perfect. THANKS ! now its time to tackle the bad valves/head. Shes totally stock now but I'll post pics of her now & kinda what I have planed for her.
thanks again.
