Well, we went to the Badlands this weekend & ended up busting the frame right in front of the rear spring hangers! I guess it's been rusting out for a while now & now both sides are broke. Wheres the best place to find a new frame? I saw one at Quadratek, but it is at least $2500. Is there anyplace to get a good one cheaper?

Thanks!

Mike

whats a better excuse to back half it??? just cut it off and build new. at least thats what i would do....if your not up for that check the paper or craiglist for parts wranglers... depending on where your from check out www.bmja.org there forum usually has alot of wranglers being parted out.

I'm not sure where you are located and how much shipping would be but I know that Davies jeeps in southern Ohio has a ton of jeep frames and he has always given me reasonable prices on things.

Matkins has been making aftermarket Jeep frames for ages. But for the money, you can buy a ton of steel and a welder and make your own. It's not like a jeep frame is overly complicated.
Get a couple of sticks of 2x4x.120 or .188 and some 1.75x.120 tube and cut that bitch up.

edit: maybe Matkins is out of business? similar thread http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=217248

I've got an extra one in Auberry, CA. I see these come up all the time. Keep an eye on Craigslist in your area, 100-500 bucks for a frame on axles. Jeeps with blown motors for a few hundred, and you can scrap everything you don't need for 100-200 in recycling.
