Hey guys this might be our ticket - the 5-760x wheel joint spicer just started making is an oem snap tight style joint - these joints in driveline series are the best you can get and i have never seen anyone kill a 1350 series 5-627x joint ( break it) so it leads me to beleive the 5-760x is better than the 5-297x non greasable- so the big question is anyone running them yet? how are they holding ? I'm running um right now. Had one destroy it self a few weeks ago, but may have been due to the stub shaft. I have had one in the left side for a month or so, put one in the right tonight. We'll see how they do in the morning. Going for a run with the club, should see lots of wheel spin, but with the snow on the ground, not much traction.

Jess, since you brought up U-joints Have you any knowledge of the NAPA part# NUJ377 "Super Strength" U-joints? They claim: "Exclusive Micro Shield Coating", "Super Strength Alloy Steel Cross", "Case hardened bearing cups", and "superior quality seals". And if you go to www.napaonline.com (http://www.napaonline.com) and punch that part number in it even says limited lifetime warrenty. Just wondering if you or anyone else has used them with any good luck?

What is the difference between the 5-627x joint and the 5-332x from a structural standpoint?

Now the pic that Lance posted a while back where he had a 5-297x with a noticeable difference in appearance, was this a new 5-760x?

Reason I ask is why would they redesign a 5-297x then replace it two months later with an entirely new joint (5-760x)?

Where can we get them?
I think you may have already seen about 15 minutes worth of damage on Sledge Hammer last week.

These were the newere style 297 joints.
I am willing to try the new joints, what can it hurt, the 297 arent cutting it.

Jess,

What do you mean by "snap tight"?

And about how much do these cost?

Thanks,

Charly

got i minute here- i'll be back soon - but the napa coating joint is a gimmik to me - who knows- the 5-760x snp tight style is original manufacture style- the shap tight name comes from the seal design - it is almost a snap fit-its a suppior fit- Be back tonight -Jess

Thanks Jess, I figured the shiney paint or "Exclusive Micro Shield Coating", as NAPA calls it, to be a gimmick as well. It was the "Super Strength Alloy Steel Cross" and "limited lifetime warrenty" that I wondered about mostly, and of course others experience and input.
