: MSD plug gap

The PO put a MSD box and coil on my 75 2F motor. I've since replaced the distributor and installed a "Mel's Ingition" to get rid of the points. I installed new plugs yesterday as my old ones were fuel fouled (probably due to the Weber38) and gapped them to factory settings. I was wondering if I should open up the gap with with MSD installed. I don't have any of the instructions and a search didn't turn up much.
Thanks...

I wouldn't bother. While you can run a wider gap with a high voltage ignition, it isn't going to make any difference on a normally-aspirated 2F and it can lead to insulation breakdown and arcing problems in your cap and wires. If you were running nitrous, a compressor or turbo or over 6,000 RPM, then you might notice a diference.
