BillaVista 10-19-2001, 09:21 PM That fella contacted me a while back too....prior to Sep 11.
It's legit, and he seems a nice fella.
Fullreversal 10-19-2001, 09:27 PM yah he's on the board.. i think his name is 'pakistani jeep guy'. hes got some interesting conversions on his website
patooyee 10-19-2001, 09:30 PM Yeah, I actually think he cantacted me before. I hope he isn't offended by my not wanting to be listed on his page, or not wanting to list his. I've never really looked through his page with a fine-toothed comb, though, I must admit. Right now I'd rather just keep my name unnassociated with anything in Pakistan.

Not yet... where do you think the Taliban came from ......
Curtis 10-20-2001, 01:16 PM There are some great pics on his site. That'd be a beautiful place to go wheel.
x658x 10-24-2001, 03:39 PM The same guy has contacted my club, Arizona Virtual Jeep Club, and sends us links to his club website with tech articles and stories every now and then.
ehsankiani 11-14-2001, 12:49 PM I just did a search on Pakistan and I found this topic.. I just wanted to thank all the guys with the nice comments and say that I was not offended by anyone.. It is your choice to reply or not to reply.. to join or not to join.. I am cool with it...
About the Taliban coming from Pakistan... Its true that quite a few of them did get trained in Pakistan.. but not ofiicially under the government.. or by the Pakistan army... They were trained by the same extremist groups that are now protesting on the streeets.. and they definately do not form a majority here in Pakistan...
I looked at your site. You do have some nice scenery
Is this you?

Wow, beautiful up there, but looks really cold!
SeanP 11-14-2001, 03:32 PM Islamabad Jeep Club is welcome in my world anytime. If we could find more common ground (like wheeling) with other countries there would be less misunderstanding and wars. I for on would love to wheel in Pakistan and would take them on the "Con if they wanted to come on over.

Screwzer 11-14-2001, 04:33 PM Wheeling in the Himalaya's? You bet! Someday....

Thanks for the offer... We at the Islamabad Jeep Club would definately love to have some wheeling guest over here and would be delighted to join you ppl there in the US... I agree... Jeeps can fight wars by prevening them... We have a lot to learn about and from each other.. Getting to know each other would solve a lot of misunderstandings..
SeanP 11-15-2001, 07:28 AM Well, if you ever want to come over to US and can get to San Francisco (SFO) you are welcome to stay wife my wife and I and see some of our local jeep trails. question for Ehsankiana:
what is the local or even national wheeling attatitude. can you go off roading in those mountains behind you? are there alot of trails? do many people have 4 wheel drives? how hard are parts to get for your rig?
ehsankiani 11-15-2001, 11:27 PM Thanks Sean. I will definately include San Fransisco in any future trip to the US..
The wheeling attitude here?? Well there are not too many hardcore Offroader here in Pakistan.. ots of 4x4s.. Mostly japenese.. and rebuilt Jeeps.. lots of tracks.. You can wheel anywhere in the mountains provided you dont destroy anything or its not private land.. Most roads in the far flung areas are not carpeted. some are only jeepabe- as we call them here.. so many ppl have 4x4s.. Parts for my Jeep.. It was hard to find them before. but Now I have gotten it rebuilt.. IT has All toyota machinary.. Engine, gearbox, stearing, diffs,ac,hand brake...seats are from a gallant.. o not hard to find parts anymore..
fatkid 11-15-2001, 11:33 PM Nice looking country, kind of made me think of wheeling and fishing. Not what I expected.:)
