I am running a 6.0 in my CUCV, tranny is stock to my knowledge. The torque converter is blue, which is all I know, not sure if the PO changed it or not. ANyway I am wondering if I dont need a different stall converter. Dunno whats in it now, but power is not what I expected having driven lots of 6.0s. It has 42's and 4.56's though. But I do have 5.38s ready to go in so that will help some. Just read that a gas motor with a stall from a diesel isn't the best. Its not a motor issue, fuel pressure is high, injectors,plugs/wires are all new. Its an 02 LQ4 so I am thinking its the gearing plus maybe the converter. Thoughts? Bo maybe?

Yes, I never really thought about until reading up on somthing. Anyone have a clue what the stall is on diesel converter with a 6.2? Or a reccomendation for a new stall?

Isn't stock gassers 2400??? Just get a gas replacement. If you can live with a 3000 get one of those.

Jims performance, not sure about tq management. He doesnt use VSS, on a side note, I cranked it and drove it today after putting a new oil pump and the ls1 pan on. When I dropped in the motor it only had 10 PSI at idle, now it has about 60. And oddly enough, it runs alot better, sounds wierd but I could tell a big diffference.

10psi in idle isn't bad. Sometimes the wrong o-ring on the pick-up tube will cause low oil pressure. But 60 is high but better than nothing!:D

Yea, I put off the Oil pump for a while because at least it had a little pressure, And the. I think majority of it was the o ring, I did the oil pump at the same time just cause it was 80 bucks, and I had to pull the pan and pickup tube anyway.

I am gunna see how it is after I swap 5.38s in the diffs in the next week or so and then determine if the converter need swapping out.
