Looks like were gonna have a great turn out of EB's on the Con.

Parking for tow rigs, and haulers: I was going to park at the base of Loon lake damn, but I have heard a lot of reports of vandalism/robbery at Fordyce. Is there a safer place close by? I don't mind a small fee.

I have placed requirements like; rear locker/front & rear limited slips, 33" tires, and spare axle shafts.

I understand there will be no fires allowed.

How large can the group get, before permits are required? Is'nt it 25 vehicles?

Any other suggestions or advice?

We always leave our tow vehicles at the base of the damn, I don't believe you'll find to much trouble a loon, to much traffic. I like to use the campground before the damn myself. make friends with some of the fishermen and everything is safe.

If your trail rigs are street legal, park your tow vehicles at Icehouse Resort for $5 a day. I've been parking there for 6 years with no problems.

Robb's Resort is another possibility. Several people from the board leave their tow rigs there. Very secure and P4x4 friendly!

Have a good trip and remember to Tread Lightly;)

Unsolicited suggestion: take lots of antifreeze! :flipoff2:

This time of summer, seems like most Early Broncos I see are pulled to the side with the hood up, letting 'er cool off. :p

As for permits, you're FAIRLY safe with less then 25 rigs, but the forest service can deem you an organized event at just about any size... it isn't cast in stone. Shouldn't be a problem, though, I've never heard of them using their discretion in this fashion -- though they could. Ain't gubmint fun!

Great tips guys!

Big rich, The campground near the dam sounds pretty good, since we're gonna try and get back to the dam Saturday night. Is it a $5 storage fee there, like Ice house? Any showers? A camp fire would be nice too!

I've only been to the Rubicon twice, and I don't remember Robb's resort. Where is this?

EB hoods make great bikini tops!!! Usually solves most over heating problems. ;)
