I'm running 8" over XJ's in mine (same as TJ's) without issue. Of course I dont run rockwells. Jaycar on this board does though and his rides good. Linky to his build.

Killerpee 08-17-2008, 08:46 AM Did you ever get it rolling on the 36's or are you changing plans in the middle of the build?

That control panel is seriously pimp.
Nice build so far.

clean work too...
zachis4wheeling 08-18-2008, 09:09 PM I've seen the build on some other board somewhere. Can't remember where. Looks like a sweet plan though. Linkages on the t cases look great. Real clean n shit. Beefy crossmember n whatnot too. Good luck with the dovetailin and beakin front and rear. Only seen a couple do the front and have em come out lookin really clean, so good luck with that. Did you box the whole frame?
Zach

yea its only a maybe on the divetail, i havnt seen a nice lookin doved ranger front yet, rears ive seen look nice. i might just cut my fenders up higher and cut the sides of the grill off.
the frame is boxed from the front all the way to about where the rear leafs start, the bed section can flex and whatnot, i just want the cab section to stay square and strong.
DieselSmokinYall 05-03-2009, 06:49 PM few updated pics

Why play with barbie motors. I wanna see a 460 stroked to at least 557:stirthepot::stirthepot:
Either way cool build :smokin:
DieselSmokinYall 05-07-2009, 08:14 AM haha thanks, i think i would swap in a 4bt rather then upgrade a gas motor, but not until i get this truck done first and wheel it hard and blow up this one first :D
DieselSmokinYall 05-12-2009, 09:32 PM finished the first wheel today
Midget28 05-13-2009, 09:22 PM Looks good a 4bt would be sweet then you could reuse the stack idea lol.
DieselSmokinYall 05-17-2009, 05:20 PM front wheels on

SAY789 05-20-2009, 07:31 PM This build is pretty sweet but seriously did he even try runnin it when it was on the 36's lol?
DieselSmokinYall 05-20-2009, 09:03 PM no, i got a deal on a 6x6 and decided to run the rocks from it, the leafs sucked for flex anyways. i didnt want to put any more money into something i didnt really like anyways, so do dana 44s, and 60s are the same price as rockwells
DirtWorshiper 05-22-2009, 08:50 AM Great looking build, I can't wait to see more.
DieselSmokinYall 11-16-2009, 10:46 AM Heres a newer pic, Im going to drop the front end about 2-3 inches and lift the rear about 2".
I did some final touches on my tube bender and bent some test pieces, Will have the hydro on and internal cage/dash done soon.
zainyD 11-16-2009, 11:05 AM Looks great! Slow but sure progress, huh?
DieselSmokinYall 11-16-2009, 11:15 AM Looks great! Slow but sure progress, huh?
Yep, thanks
It seems like Ive only had a day or two out of a month to work on it lately
sasexplorer 11-16-2009, 04:22 PM you put a new meaning to danger ranger. is this a mudder?
DieselSmokinYall 11-16-2009, 04:48 PM you put a new meaning to danger ranger. is this a mudder?
Thanks, Actually I hate mud :D
Im going to try and make it as low as possible, Its just hard with the way the ranger frame is, if I were to do it again I would have made my own frame.

DieselSmokinYall 11-16-2009, 06:40 PM This is what I was thinking, a quick paint chop. What you think?
BeefCakeScout 11-17-2009, 12:27 AM That cut with a 12in. dove would be perfect. Cool ass build though. Looks like an RC
Panthers65 11-17-2009, 07:25 AM This is what I was thinking, a quick paint chop. What you think?
Lookin good, cut the rear in a similar way and pull the sides in and it'll be :smokin:
pennsylvaniaboy 11-17-2009, 11:00 AM just curious but isnt that thing is gona bring the suck with the michelins....
DieselSmokinYall 11-18-2009, 03:09 PM just curious but isnt that thing is gona bring the suck with the michelins....
There actually Goodyear’s, but im not sure, if they suck its not like they cost a lot of money. Ill probably cut a few lugs out anyways it should help.
Panthers65 11-18-2009, 03:10 PM plenty of people wheel those tires, cut em'up and it softens the tire up a lot
reddwarf 12-22-2009, 01:25 PM And lightens it too
Cool build, any updates? Good clean fab
br0nc0xrapt0r 12-22-2009, 02:46 PM Nice clean fab looks good, whats the wheel base like?
DieselSmokinYall 12-23-2009, 11:44 AM Thanks

OrangeBronc79 04-16-2010, 07:57 PM Cool build good FAB subscribed!
Interested to see what you end up doing with the front clip, chop wise. Keep it up.
DieselSmokinYall 07-30-2010, 11:49 PM Well not much to show, mostly just a bunch of little time consuming stuff.
Next is to get brake/clutch pedals and everything.
DieselSmokinYall 06-02-2011, 09:57 PM Haven't updated in a while.
I took the truck back apart and I am building a new frame out of 2x4 box and 1.75 dom. Also now using fox coilovers and it sits about 8-10" lower then the pic above. I added a nwfab black box in between the zf5/np205 and I'm going to run propane as well now.
SAY789 06-03-2011, 12:11 PM nice I been waiting for an update on this for a long time. What happened to all your earlier pictures?
