35's are nice on a SUA rig. I've been that way a long time with approx 4" lift. Maybe not quite as cheap as the Pinnacles but Alcan makes a bad mo-fo spring if you're staying SUA. I've got 5" Alcans and I've got plently of room for my 35's and I'm actually looking at changing to 37's soon.

Newbie :flipoff2:
Hey Adam, are you guys wheeling any weekend this month? I am coming out to ride with a rep one day this month and I could plan it around a wheeling adventure :D

yep, that's me the idiot newbie:flipoff2:
Let me know when you think you might be coming. We've actually got a big trail cleanup and BBQ on the 10th that your welcome to come to but its not really wheeling. If you come during one of the other weekends, I think we can probably get a few guys together and hit one of the trails within an hour or so of Salt Lake, although they aren't super hardcore.

Adam,
Shoot me the story on the BBQ and trail cleanup..sounds fun. DO you expect a large turnout? Would you let me drive the MoneyPit?

There's a network of mild trails mostly ridden by ATVs in Bountiful, Utah (a few minutes north of SLC) that our club traditionally runs each spring once the snow thaws. The trail we run is a peice of cake and there is a riverbed at the bottom that isn't all that difficult either but is fun to play in. There are a few decent rocks that can make a bit of t challenge but nothing to really worry about.
Anyway, the area has been trashed by punk kids and a lot of ATV users and our club is going up to clean stuff up as best we can. We will have three groups, two leaving at 7am to tackle a couple of the meadows higher up on the trail and then a third group (that I'm part of) that will head straight to the riverbed where most of the junk is. Some kids have dragged tarps and stuff down into the river years ago to make pools and now the ragged tarps and other crap are partially burried by large rocks. We'll be winching out some of the rocks to get the garbage out and just doing some general cleanup. We'll call it quits around noon and head to a park just down the road for a BBQ and show-n-shine. Should have a good turnout.
We're also supposed to have some media coverage from the local paper and the city mayor is supposed to be in attendance since he's so excited about the cleanup.
You know I'll let you drive the moneypit anytime. Just remember, you break a birfield, you get to replace it.:flipoff2:

just a quick question about your lift... you have a simple 4 inch spring lift, no shackles or anything? just curious, cause i have a 5.5 inch lift, still running my stock tires, and trying to decide what tires to run, 33's or 35's.... i didn't want the 35's to look like they were really stuffing the wheel well..

35's!! You don't think anyone here is gonna tell you to run SMALLER tires, do ya? :flipoff2:
I've got a 2.5" lift and shackles (not that terribly long), and run 35x14.5's.. but my rear fenders are cut out. I only rub the inner fender in the rear, and the top of the front fender a little under full compression.

peiserg,
I have more than 4" of lift. I HAD about a 4" lift before I changed springs to the Alcans I'm running now. I was running OME springs with a shackle reversal and 2" overstock shackles in the rear....so roughly 3.5 - 4" and I ran 35's that way for a long time. Now I have the same shackle reversal and shackles but with a 5" spring. I am thinking about switching to 37's now.
With the amount of lift your talking about you should be able to fit 35's no problem.
