Curious - do folks remove the removable top on 4Runners when off-road to prevent tweaking or not necessarily?

I usually did to reduce the top weight. Then I rolled it on Jack and it didn't fit anymore :D .

I usually only run it in the winter. The rest of the time, the hardtop, doors, and back seats are missing. Just flip the seats forward if it's supposed to rain that night.

But yes, I try as hard as possible to pull it before wheeling. Don't have to avoid any line that pitches the truck over toward a tree this way.

Plus, if you do happen to roll it, you can sell the roof to fund the purchase of a sawzall, which you can then use the remove the rest of the roof. :D
