whats the difference between dodge and chevy dana 60's?
I own a toyota and am sick of breaking birfs. I just picked up a pair of dodge 60's for 500 bucks and was planning on running them. but i have always heard people say they didnt like them but i never heard why!

most dodges have external locking hubs and are about 2 inches narrower.

What year Dodge D60s are they?

Some of the newer ones are undesireable because of gear ratio and carriers.

its in the bible, read it.

quick n dirty

short shaft
spring plate
shock mounts
spring centers
ex hubs
brake lines.

nothing that will stop you from using one if you find it.

No, they're not. Dodge didn't start putting Cummins engines into Dodge pick-ups till long after the 70s had come and gone. Dana 60s first hit Dodges in '75
if they are out of early Cummins powered trucks be careful that they aren't Dana 61s.
