Depends if you know how to use it. But after watching 12+ hours of footage I would WANT IT!!

I think there might have been like 1 spot last year it might have been nice but if you watch what you are doing and pick your line right the overall race is much nicer without it. Having that extra weight running in the desert would stink.

Well Doug when you are busy giving the camera guy a thumbs up while racing, I guess you dont need it! LOL Haulin or Crawlin 5 trailer coming out soon.

Is there a 5 point penalty for using it? :flipoff2: I'm building a new rig for KOH, its getting rear steer, and I'm gonna use the shit out of it!

I think it would help if it was built bullet proof so you wouldn't have to worry about breaking it, and more importantly if you were comfortable enough with it and its controls so you could use it without thinking. If it's new to you it will only get you into trouble.

it's not new to me. 3 rigs i built had RS including the 6x6 i still run.
i even got to be an expert on driving with RS and had a lot of practice driving while using RS only. believe me, this takes some getting used to.

my question was not if RS was a good thing to have in a rock crawler - i already know it is.

the thing is that it's bad for high speeds and the KOH would mostly be about higher speeds in the desert, at least the 09 KOH.

there are also some centering issues involved and the need to have the wheels perfectly straight when you run at high speeds, and i would rather give it up altogether unless it was absolutely essential for getting quickly through the various hammer trails.

I agree with most others...

The trails have been run for years without RS. One pre-run will give you the heads up and you'll be fine.

I with the hell no! That could really hurt you in the desert at speed with all that axle weight!
