Was the trail in good shape? (in your opinion)

Dude, how do you get that trail? And that lake, what lake is it. Im looking for something other than the standard trails to take my kids on for the first time and that looks perfect.
Thanks

The trail runs from Strawberry on Highway 50, southward to the highway maintenance station on Highway 88. That is Caples Lake, right near Kirkwood ski resort - not technically on the trail, but right across the highway from the South end of the trail.
There are no lakes on the Strawberry trail, but there are a couple of nice streams, one of which has some pretty good fishing.

Unless you are talking about Strawberry Creek before you get to the trail.
To get to Strawberry, take trac 42 exit off of Hwy 50 just before you reach the town of Strawberry.
The lake is Caples (I'm sure) which you can see from the top of the trail.

The lake in the distance shot is Caples lake. The lake in the close pic is silver lake. Both are not on the trail but right next to the highway. We only did half the trail. There was not a single piece of trash and was perfect in my opinion.
I plan on going back soon with the lil jeep to tackle the whole trail.
Also plan on the Deer Valley trail soon too as it has water streams....
We went in from 88 side. Which you turn left after the second damn on caples lake. There is a left turn lane to the maintence station off the hwy

You think I'm going to give away one of my fishing holes THAT clearly? I've already given you too much information! :flipoff2:

I've had good luck fishing Strawberry Creek but I've never tried the creek crossing on the trail. Maybe I'll have to bring my fly rod next time I run the trail :)
