I fried the trans... have called local places and have not been impressed with the kits...
it's an 89 4x4 if that makes a diference.. with a 727 3 spd...

just want a reputable kit... one that has everything with it... autozone and those place leave stuff out on purpose just so you'll buy more stuff.. I want to get new everything in one package...
thanks guys

Try the B&M transkit. I just bought one from Summit for us$213 for my 700R4. It comes with almost everything you need to leave your tranny like new. I said almost cause it's good to replace all the steel bushings and my kit only showed 3 of them ( the 700r4 uses 10). Also I think it's a good time to replace the sprag bearings.

How much do you want to spend on the rebuild? I was not impressed with the TCI kit. It did not include the rear band, all the bushings, and nor all the steel seals.

I would also recommend upgrading your apply arm, to a 3.8 ratio and a bolt in sprag (wish I would have).

But overall the TCI kit was complete enough, I did add the above items, purchased from JVX. I also added a remote filter, and Mopar deep pan.

Here is the link to JVX, they know they're sheet

I was planning on *hopefully* spending around 100ish....

But as soon as the tranny is fixed the truck is getting sold..... so would you spend the extra $$ or just get a cheapo to get it by?
