Dynatrack? Currie? Redline?

Buy a Currie housing and build out from there?

Anybody build them for cheap?

I would DIY, but I can't find a D60 front for very cheap, local shops want arm+leg to cut and weld, and I don't have access to a shop anymore, so I have to farm out the work.

Reccomendations?

dynatrac builds really nice stuff but their customer service sucks balls ...
and yes i have their axles under my rig .
dont expect them to ship on time ...
as far as currie i cant tell you much
as far as redline do a search here to find out about them

Impossible to answer this... You say "cheap" but mention DIY is out of the question and you ask of Redline, Dynatrck, or Currie can do it?

You need to figure out of you want cheap or $$$$...

Call Boyce. They do great work and they will charge you a fair price. Dynatrac takes like two months or more to get you a 60. And they are the most expensive ones out there.

I was just looking at Boyce, has anybody used them? Opinion?

I'd LIKE to get one cheap, but I can't weld anything the way I am set up right now, which means farming out the work, which means $$$. I don't really mind spending some $$, but $5K is a ton of cash for me. $3K is attainable.

Opinions?

No personal experience with Boyce (yet <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">) but they will hook you up. Not bad on the prices either. Right around $3k for a reverse rotation 60 front with a spool and choice of gears. Probably will run less if you dont have to go RR though.

Definately going RR, and probably ARB. My total was something like $3500 from boyce, but that's not cut down, estimates. Lower than the base price at dynatrack--$4K

Call Sunray Engineering, I just had a RC D60 built for the rear and a 609 Hybrid in the front (I highly recommend this)

817 594 9201 They were around $1500 less than Dynatrac after all was said and done.

My 60 was a 60" rear(1.5",35spline, SF, disc and a ARB) He was doing a few front 60's and I even helped load one on to a Yellow Frieght Lines truck for him. Call him and ask him or Brett how much.

The 60" SF with Dutchman 1.5" 35 spline axles and all new 11" disc brakes, set 20 bearings ends, ARB, ready to go cost me 1600.00. But we are talking about front 60's and I didn't think you would give a shit about what a rear cost. BTW DANATRASH wanted over 4500 for the same axle.

Ask Ramstein if he can tell you what he paid for the front. He went through boyce and i'm pretty sure he got them fast.
