What difference does it make whether the caliper goes in front or behind the axle. I noticed that the grand cherokee in our parking lot at work has them mounted towards the front of the vehicle but evreything else had them mounted towards the rear like the front.

On a second note, what do you use to mount the e-brake cables to a eldorado caliper? Factory bracket or make my own?

AFAIK it makes no difference where they are mounted as long as the bleader screw is at the top. I noticed the same thing on the new grands yesterday. I think they must be mounted that way for clearance of suspension bracketry or something like that.

take a look at cars, i see them mounted on both sides of both F/R tires, doesnt seem to make a difference.

I was lookin at it better last night and I think it will all be dependant on how I can rig the e-brake up. Thanks, Jake
