Recently purchased a 2006 grand Cherokee and put a 2 inch lift on it. I went to get new bigger tires and it was not able to happen due to a bolt sticking out on the suspension arm. It was told to me that the only way to get bigger tires is to buy new wheels. I was looking for a cheaper alternative and found the wheel spacers. I was wondering if any one out there is using these now and how dependable they are and if they are worth it. I have heard terror storys about wheels falling off, and adding pressure in certain areas, but want to know if it just a hype. Any information would help. Thanks

Not really the best option. If your rig is a pavement pounding mall crawler that doesn't tow anything, it'd probably be fine with them until you could get the correct wheels. What's the cost of wheel spacers and shipping? Can you get a set of used wheels off craigslist or from a local tire shop for about the same money? Most of the spacers I have seen are made from aluminum, and that seems like alot of stress for an aluminum spacer IMO...

I have had Spidertax 1.25" spacers on my TJ for years. First with 33's and now with 35's. I have had zero problems to date.

The spacers are about 200 for all 4 tires. I havent seen any wheels for all 4 for the same price but i havent checked craigs list. I will look in to it.
Hey flash 00 tj do you go off road with those spacers as well. I will be doing a lot of dune riding but not heavy off road. let me know

Yep. Tellico/Uwharrie when I was stationed back east and all the Tahoe area trails for the past couple years (Rubicon, Fordyce, Slickrock, Deer Valley, Pardoes, etc.). It's my daily driver as well, so it sees it's fair share of the highway too.
