I went to the junk yard today to try and find some spare Birfields. I was completely expecting to have to tare down an axle but low and behold he had 2 different mini truck front axles with the knuckles off. I ended up getting 4 birfields for $60. I didnt need 4 but at $15 each i had to take them all.

Good score!

Now be a good little Cruiserhead and send two in to Bobby Long, that way unless you drive like Spaceghost, you won't need any spares.

Finally, sell the other two and recoup some of your costs on the Longfields.

I found them in a yard south of Auburn. It is just north of Phenix City (the south end of 280 where it goes into Georgia). It it called Greer Auto Parts. He must have 5 or 8 mini trucks with complete front axles. His Phone # is (334)298-2721

And i think i will be giving bobby a call sometime soon.

Wow that is quite a haul! It beats the price each, I got on 12 from a local yard.

I love it when the yard says “Nah don’t have any, but you can look around” I had the yard dude bring the fork lift to haul them all from the old “Axle” bus body they where stored in. They guy at the counter could not believe I found any let alone a doz.! Heck I pulled one out of the ground once all rusty. I just caught a glimpse outer shell and flat spot, bought it for $5.00 cleaned it up and gave it to a friend for a spare. (And with all the rust pitting it was ONLY a spare!) Capitalism is a great thing, sold most off and gave a few to needy friends. (Ya that’s right the Birfield-Robin Hood got’a problem with that?!):flipoff2:
